At R. G. Losik Woodworking, Inc. we construct over-the-post rail systems using individual rail fittings, which are mechanically joined to the actual rail sections. Then, all combined components are attached on top of the newel posts, creating an elegant, flowing look.This allows you to run your hand down the entire length of a rail without feeling any obstructions. Over-the-post rail systems are a bit more expensive than the post-to-post systems, but the end result is always worth it.
